“Veronica” New fragrance by Veronica Moncho Lobo

Veronica Moncho Lobo launched her fragrance called “Veronica” during London Fashion week at her boutique on Elizabeth Street in Belgravia. The key scent is flowery, citric and sea fresh. The bouquet of heart notes that she chose to accentuate the fragrance are jasmine and cyclamen – the spring and winter flower fragrances that evoke memories of her childhood. The lily complements and softens the citrus string of the heart notes along with the magical ylang-ylang, the flower of flowers that sharpens the senses. Delicate base notes of sandalwood and white musk add a mysterious and timeless touch to the blend while citric and seaweed top notes throw in a nip of freshness for self- awareness. The length of the maceration and blending process of the essence is characteristic of the artisanal and precise nature of luxury perfumes.

Veronica

This will definitely make the perfect Christmas gift. The bottled fragrance is available at the Verónica Moncho Lobo boutique, and via select Verónica Moncho Lobo stockists in London, New York, Istanbul, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

Glam media suite at The Trafalgar Hotel with Rimmel London during London fashion week

Glam media in collaboration with Rimmel London hosted a blogger’s suite during London fashion week at The spectacular Trafalgar hotel where the finest and biggest names in the blogging world would come to rest, blog and refresh in between and after shows. On hand was an array of services put on for the bloggers like massages, manicures, make overs and refreshments refresh (champagne ofcourse)  to get us going through the day.  The Rimmel London team was there to attend to all our make up needs making sure we looked our best before we hit the road dashing from show to show. There was also lovely goodie bags from Rimmel London that had an assortment of Rimmel beauty products like mascara, eye shadow, face creams etc. It was such a lovely experience to have a place where the bloggers (YES! Butters the fashion dog included) could converge and talk fashion and exchange opinions on the shows and the fashion crowd. Thank you to Fiona, Clare, Reena and all the Glam media ladies for making Fashion week such a great experience and also to Rimmel London for keeping us fabulous and glam during the busiest time of the Fashion calendar.

Carlotta Actis Barone SS12 collection

For Spring Summer 12 Carlotta Actis Barone has gone for chiffon silks abd satins reminiscent of the French Boudoir and Grecian style short dresses in vivid colours of green, red and yellow. Getting inspiration from the Victorian Brothels to contrast the negative feelings about sex and high-class prostitution. The colours in the collection are used to allure the audience as a prostitute seeks to invite and seduce. The collection is truly an extravagant debate on power, beauty and honour.

My renewed passion and obsession for Nico Didonna

Consistent to Italy which is Nico Didonna’s place of inspiration, the collection has an instantaneous visual impact, seducing onlookers with rich colours, nature inspired prints and organic linearity. But at a longer glance, intricate details and deceptively complex construction can be appreciated for how they are manipulated to become the multi-functional garments so identifiable to Nico’s handwriting. . The linear and geometric emphasis is loaned from the aesthetic of the cultivated fields of the region creating sleek, sexy silhouettes, with use of light silks, chiffons, crepes and georgettes accentuated with lace appliqué. Light cottons, silks and cool wool linen for the mens garments emphasise Nico’s consideration of quality and sleek Italian style

This emotive and sensuous collection bonds the essence of versatility and wearability with innovative sustainable style, a task in itself. The garments have a deconstruction aesthetic, are often reversible and are always by definition of the Nico Didonna ethos, intelligently malleable thus giving creative freedom to the wearer who remain after all, his underpinning muse.
