Kokon To Zai brings “Maasai Punk” to London fashion week
Kokon To Zai (KTZ) brought London fashion week to a stand still with their show entitled Maasai Punk. The inspiration for this collection was a Maasai girl who moved to London in the 70′s by the names of Koyati Sailoti from Kenya and brought back all these lovely trinkets and accessories given to her by her family that she used to wear in London teamed with leather jackets. The collections is a fusion of Mara warrior meet dangerous street chic in a wild eclectlic blend of Maasai ornaments with punk culture and digital prints. This was by far the most interesting show of the season in my humble opinion.
